Stanza 1
The succession of day and night, is the architect of events
The succession of day and night, is the fountain head of light and death
Following are some conventional interpretations of the tale of day and night:
Time is defined by the cycle of day and night, which produces patterns in the emergence and demise of things. We check out the number of births and fatalities that occur during the day and night. The true form of the system is represented by this process in nature. The night and day cycle, when seen against this backdrop, denotes the passage of time between life and death.
The idea is fresh. Space and time are essential to the concept of change, which entails both the production and annihilation of objects. as opposed to philosophers
The reason why this world will end is because everything in it is always changing—people are born and die. If it occurs, it will pass away the following day. Therefore, according to our notions, time is the one who creates and destroys things.Life and death are derived from it. This idea of life and death should cease if we continue to travel past the boundaries of time.
The succession of day and night, is a two-tone silken twine,
With which the divine Essence, prepare its apparel of attributes
Iqbal compares day and night in this poetry to two strands of silk. Night and day are represented by one being black and the other white. According to Iqbal, the Self cannot be seen in its unadorned form, but can be seen when it is covered in qualities. For instance, He is the Creator, the Almighty, the Lord, the Owner, the Hafiz, the Guide, etc. These ideas are the same.
The succession of day and night, is the reverberation of the symphony of creation
Through its modulation, the infinite demonstrates the parameters of possibilities
Time could only have been created at the beginning of the universe, and the Almighty wanted to make man aware of these ups and downs. That which is present in this manner has to be done. Iqbal referred to the period in this poem as “Saz Azal Ki Faghan” as well. What exactly is the instrument?
Like time, the process of variations continues as nature shows the likely outcomes. Its goal is for people to understand the truth in the context of references.
The lamentation that emanated from eternity’s creator is represented by the alternation of day and night. The Most High said that since abilities are predetermined in the universe, they should manifest as sub-phases (i.e.fluctuations or changes), such as the day/night cycle.
Man began to open up the universe of possibilities when he started the process of creation. Therefore, the universe
His skills might be evaluated in light of time itself. Given that the instrument has zero-bam (meaning high and low) heads, the age in the first verse of this poem, ” Saz Azal Ki Faghan,” is stated to have passed. The use of exclamation would have been quite fitting because the skills of the cosmos can be divided between those that are prominent and those that are not as prominent. Still, why use the word “Faghan” when you might use “Saz Azal Ki Nawa” instead? Iqbal’s poem “The voice of the immanent Eternity that led to creation” may have served as a warning to the souls of those who had separated from the original, which is why this is likely the case.
Now sitting in judgment on you, now setting a value on me
The succession of day and night is the touch stone of the universe
The universe’s ruler and ultimate test is the cycle of day and night. Pure is divided by spurious, but not by me in this test.Be free, but understand that you are not exempt from this exam. The test of time is the same for everyone.
But what if you are found wanting, what if I am found wanting
Death is your ultimate destiny, Death is my ultimate destiny
Whether I choose to. A weak, unreal person is forgotten by time. Death alone is his only course of action.
What else is the reality of your day and night,
Besides a surge in the river of time, sans day, sans night
Frail and evanescent, all miracles of ingenuity,
Transient all temporal attainments; ephemeral, all worldly accomplishments
Annihilation is the end of all beginnings; Annihilation is the end of all ends
Extinction, the fate of everything; hidden or manifest, old or new
The primordial time, which does not include day or night, presence or welcome, is the actuality of day and night. Pure is a cry that can never be silent, just this once. Time never changes, and hence there are no gaps in its continuity.
It is untrue to separate the day from the night. All of the marvels that human ingenuity has so far produced are ephemeral and will soon disappear.
The truth is that every link in the chain is transient and disappears from everything in this universe – In the universe, everything created by humans has a beginning and an end that, eventually, are both nothing.Annihilation is the first and final since that item will undoubtedly vanish. Similar to how every physical thing has an inside and external component that are both mortal every material object has both. Consequently, everything created by humans will ultimately perish.
Stanza 2
Yet in this very scenario indelible is the stamp of the permanence
On the deeds of good and godly
In spite of the fact that everything in the universe will eventually expire, this pattern creates the hue of perpetual durability, which is every man’s birthright.
Hard-work was used.A person whose every deed is in accordance with God’s will is referred to as a man of righteousness or a man of God. Because love is time-independent, everything he does is done through the means of love (love is related to pure time). Therefore, a consistent believer’s accomplishments cannot be destroyed by the passage of time.
Deeds of the godly radiate with love,
The essence of life, which death is forbidden to touch
Why such a pattern has enduring strength can be questioned. The answer is that a man who loves what is right does so because it lives in him. True life has love as its foundation and core. He is impervious to death. It must be removed from the grasp of death.
Fast and free flows the tide of time,
But love itself is a tide stem all tides
There is no denying that nothing can withstand the speed of time. He would keep erasing and creating new forms. Love itself is a raging flood, whereas time is a surging wave that can never be halted under normal conditions.Because it resembles it, time is overwhelmed and absorbed inside it.
In the chronicle of love there are times other than the past, the present and future
Times for which no names have yet been coined
As with calendars, which both keep track of days and months, we also have jantris (records or almanac). That’s it.
The tales of the ages are recorded in truth, just like Ishq, which is also a jintri (almanac). It will be understood that previous eras are included in it in addition to the one it is currently recording.
No name may be used. What is meant is that time, which is made up of the progression of day and night, is certainly unique in that it both creates and continuously erases. If Ishq-e-Haq’s(the love of Allah) issues were just relevant to this age, they could not withstand destruction because of love (Ishq). There are seasons as well, therefore he is shielded from the impacts of the seasons entirely, day and night.
Love is the Gabriel (A.S), love is the heart of Holy Prophet (PBUH)
Love is the messenger of God, love is the word of God
Love is a highly pure, spiritual, almost divine quality, not something tangible or of this world. There is no question that it represents the greatness, loftiness, purity, purity, and spirituality of love, as Iqbal pointed out to Dum-e-Gabriel and What is obvious from Dill-e-Mustafa.Other than these two names, none others can be thought of.
They are all manifestations of the love of truth, which can be seen in abundance in the world as instances of purity, radiance, spirituality, and excellence. Various indications are present. It’s as though Ishq-e-Haq manifests in various outfits, forms, and physical manifestations. Hazrat Gabriel comes to mind. Additionally, the expression of love was in his voice and breath. May God bless him and give him serenity via the pure and pure heart of the Universe’s ruler. Noor radiated genuine love as well. As God’s representative who brought guidance to mankind, love entered this earth. Love (Ishq) is the language of God that illuminates the darkness of hearts and souls and corrects the skewed moral pattern.
Love is ecstasy lends luster to earthly forms
Love is the heady wine, love is the grand goblet
The thinness of the earth, or the human being, is supposed to be where this brilliance, brightness, light, and spirituality may be seen. All of this is considered to be love.He exudes charisma. Man has provided those instances of knowledge, wisdom, direction, and happiness thanks to love, and the light will never go out.
Love is the commander of marching troops
Love is a wayfarer with many a way-side abode
Ishq-e-Haq, the greatest upholder and interpreter of Islamic Shari’ah, takes the form of a pure inner universe. He occasionally fulfils the role of the commander of the forces that are prepared for jihad in God’s service. In the minds of followers. Love is the source of jihad’s spirit.
Love is the plectrum that brings music to the string of life
Love is the light of life, love is the fire of life
Ibn al-Sabil since the “Ishq” He is a passenger, so to speak. Thus, it has a huge number of places. Ishq is a traveller, according to Iqbal.
Since the seeker only succeeds in achieving spiritual objectives through love. The only instrument that can make music from the strings of life is love of the truth. Life is made lighter as a result. And heat is produced in life as a result of this. The underlying message is that life would not exist without love since the life instrument would not be able to produce a song. Additionally, splendor and beauty are found in life because of love.

Stanza 3
To love, you owe your being, o harem of Cordoba
To love, that is eternal; never waning, never fading
O Cordoba Mosque! Nevertheless, Ishq-e-Haq was born, proving that love truly never dies. No, not annihilation for him.
Just the media these pigments, bricks and stones; this harp, these words and sounds, just the media
The miracle of art springs from the lifeblood of the artist
Blood(hard-work) highlights any work of art’s perfection, whether it be in colour or brick, instrument or speech and music, or any other medium.
The words “colour” and “brick” and “stone” appear to refer to painting, “ching” to music, “letters” and “Voice poetry,” as well as “architecture” and “architecture.” According to him, these arts are of an exceptionally high calibre if they show honesty and a love of the truth.
If there isn’t sincerity and love, this soul and body lose their ability to become arts and to be highly effective in the training of nations, will be unable to do any wazifa than keeping one’s eyes and ears covered temporarily. The Cordoba Mosque received his blood donation. The miraculous art is appreciated.
A droplet of the lifeblood transforms a piece of dead rock into a living heart
An impressive sound into a song of solicitude, a refrain of rapture or a melody of mirth
The lump of stone becomes the shape of a heart by absorbing a drop of blood and liver. It implies that the artist’s motivation is love, gives inanimate items life.
Even if it is the voice of a poet, the voice, as well as swelling, kif, and song, is produced by the liver’s blood. the claimant or anyone else. And that when there is love in it, it simultaneously warms the hearts and energies the souls to take action.Passion is real.
The aura you exude, illumines the heart, my plaint kindles the soul
You draw the hearts to the presence divine, I inspire them to bloom and blossom
Iqbal states in his address to the mosque that as my nose illuminates the breasts, your air does the same for the hearts.
I feel both heat and longing. The Holy One then leads the hearts to the truth, I unravel the intricate webs of the hearts, and I create Anshrah in them, provided your vision inspires conviction in Allah Ta’ala’s presence in the heart of the beholder and devotion in them.By studying my words, the colour of divine love will be created in the heart, and God’s love will be created there if the correct taste and passion are developed.A fire breaks out.
No less exalted than the exalted stone, is the throne of the heart, the human breast
Despite the limit of ozur skies, ordained for this handful of dust
Man may appear to be very unreal, but if the light of faith shines through his breast, then he is inferior to Arsh Ma’ala. It never persists. Aside from being the hub of Self-manifestation, righteousness’s Arsh Maula has no distinguishing features. If they are given revelation’s light Why should it be seen as less than Arsh Ma’ala if it is on someone’s breast because of their faith? The body of Mana is dark.Even while the cause might not be more significant than the blue sky, its superiority in meaning remains.
Celestial beings, born of light, do have the privilege of supplication
But unknown to them are the verve and warmth of prostration
Man’s standing has surpassed that of angels and saints because of his love of the truth and his illumination by faith. Despite their want to worship themselves, they are working to glorify and sanctify him.But how do they get to that flaming place? mixture of intense anguish and unquenchable love. When did man start experiencing happiness?
An Indian infidel, perchance, am I; but look at my fervour, my ardour
‘Blessing and peace upon the prophet,’sing my heart. ‘Blessing and peace upon the prophet,’echo my lips.
Hindi is not anything I believe. But, Cordoba Mosque! What I like, Consider the fact that as soon as I saw you and the unformed blessings on my lips, the flame of heavenly love in my heart grew even more intense. We extend our best wishes.
My song is the song of aspiration. My lute is the serenade of longing
Every fibre of my being resonates with the refrains of Allah hoo
Passion is also evident in my tone and lips. My enthusiasm is the only thing that drives me to play the flute, and the garha(excavation – strong feelings or belief) within me is the melody of God.
Stanza 4
Your beauty, your majesty, personify the graces of the man of faith
You are beautiful and majestic, he too is beautiful and majestic
O Cordoba Mosque! God’s memory is renewed when he views your beauty and magnificence. He would have been as spectacular, appealing, and attractive as he is in terms of his attributes.
Your foundations are lasting, your columns countless
Like the profusion of palms in the plains of Syria
Your structure is sturdy and robust. which is still standing in its pristine condition after more than a thousand years. Your pillars are innumerable; to behold them is to imagine a swarm of palm trees in the Syrian desert.
The Cordoba Mosque had 1,417 pillars in total. A person would be shocked and unable to count all the pillars if he were to stand between them. Then a fairly pure analogy for these pillars was made. Iqbal also made reference to Syria because the country is home to many palm trees that have a pillar-like construction and look. This is due to the fact that the mosque’s founder and all of his ancestors came from Syria to Andalusia and founded a wonderful kingdom there.Who was It sounds like Iqbal is trying to explain that while the mosque was being built, I witnessed the most beautiful scene in my country (i.e. palm trees – a throng of trees) remained in front of these individuals and they produced the same view when the mosque was being built.
Your arches, your terraces, shimmer with the light that once flashed in the valley of Aiman
Your soaring minaret, all aglow in the resplendence of Gabriel (A.S)’s glory
Your doors and roof are illuminated by the same Sinai Valley light that formerly touched every crevice of the valley. That tower of yours, which is 110 feet high and where the call to prayer was made, Hazrat Jibraeel (peace be upon him) appears to be displaying his splendor on it.
The Muslim is destined to last as
His Azan holds the key of mysteries of the perennial message Abraham and Moses
When Iqbal brought up the mosque’s durability, his thoughts turned to the Islamic nation’s sustainability. claims that even though Muslims were expelled from Spain, their call to prayer is still that of Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) and Hazrat Ibrahim, hence they can never be expelled from the earth.
Jalil-ul-Qadr is disclosing the prophesied mysteries. Muslims have a responsibility to propagate their faith throughout the world. It is what other prophets, like Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) and Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him), brought into this earth (peace be upon him). There is no need to explain the connection between Salam and the Islamic faith.
His world knows no boundaries, his horizon, no frontiers
Tigris Danube and Nile: Billows of his oceanic expanse
The Islamic homeland is beyond bounds. A Muslim’s homeland is the entire planet, including every nook and cranny. His options are endless. Its ocean waves are the Tigris River, the Danube River, and the Nile River. (In this verse, the Ottoman Empire grew. There is a suggestion that these three rivers were a part of the Ottoman Empire when Sultan Suleiman the Great was in power.
Tigris: The well-known river in Iraq, on whose banks Baghdad is situated.
Danube: The renowned “Danube,” which flows through Central Europe, is German in origin. I tumble through Hungary, Romania, and Austria to the Black Sea. On its banks are some of the well-known European towns, including Vienna and Budapest.
Nile: Situated on the continent of Africa, the Nile River is the longest river in the world.
What is meant is that when Muslims left Arabia, they had conquered the entire planet. Their lessons had a truthful impact in every direction – neither in one shape nor another have arrived. There have been brief mentions of the Tigris, Danube, and Nile. Which continent—Asia, Europe, or Africa?
It is a fascinating river because it hasn’t evolved into a wave in the Islamic-sea. In fact, Muslims’ former greatness is no longer present now.Nothing is left, so why should it be assumed that, even with the help of his religious teachings, he was unable to go past the first level?
Fabulous have been his times, fascinating, the accounts of his achievements
He it was, who bade the final odieu to the outworn order
Amazing achievements have been made by the Muslim world. And what has surprised everyone throughout their history are the tales of their zeal, bravery, and tenacity. No other country has achieved what this one has. Muslims are responsible for establishing this time period’s foundation for civilization, politeness, and wisdom through transmitting Koch’s word to earlier generations, investigation and perfection is referred to as a unique era of the arts.
A cup-bearer is he, with the purest wine for the connoisseur;
A cavalier in the path of love with a sword of the finest steel
The Muslims offered their favourite wine to the guests who had a spiritual bent. He was the one who most exemplified nobility in the realm of love. It produces delicate, unadulterated wine. His blade is unique and has a cut that cannot be compared.By nature, people come from diverse nations. Some people have heightened spiritual tastes. Several Jihad Balasif
They are insane. Some people dedicate their entire life to advancing science and the arts. Islamic teachings have supplied them with the best equipment.
Despite the fact that during their heyday, the Muslims had consolidated their control throughout the globe. But even in this previous stage, love exists. In terms of bravery, they are on par with any other country. The world can still learn from us now. To still chop off one’s head in the name of Allah Ta’ala. They still have the Ishq-e-Rasool wealth because they still have passion (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Their wine is still in love, and their sword can still be used to stifle religious payments with the same power and at the same speed as before.
A combatant, with ‘La Ilah’ as his coat of mail
Under the shadow of flashing scimitars, ‘La Ilah’ is his protection
Muslims are a fighting people. He rises with this word, and this is his Jihad, therefore his word is nothing but Tawheed. You can get full service. There is no one else but Allah for him to flee to, thus He welcomes monotheism, even under the shadow of the sword.Additionally, he regards monotheism as his life’s mission and guiding principle. This is the reason he both survives and dies in such a nation Why is that possible?
You shouldn’t interpret Iqbal’s words as poetic allusions. In a hadith Qudsi, this article is described. He’s interested in this.
According to legend, a day may eventually arrive when Muslims will be greatly outnumbered by their foes. However, a circumstance where their entity is no longer present or where the development’s core, which is the fundamental source of nations’ existence, is lost, will never occur. Every Muslim’s difficulty. They occasionally go away from God’s commands. Following would also bring about the birth of a new spirit of exaltation. Islamic history is full with instances where people were first victorious before regaining their zeal and courage. They had new tools for life as a result of the departure.
Stanza 5
Your edifice unravels the mystery of the faithful;
The fire of fervent days, The bliss of his tender nights
O Cordoba Mosque! The genuine splendour of a believer is shown in seeing you. What traits characterize this glory?
He (Momin) is devoted to the spirit of true love and is extremely active and zealous during the times of love. God obeys commands and does so. HE provides him with conveniences and comforts. They are forces of nothingness that protects against. As a result, he engages in these activities nonstop. When darkness falls, he prays to God, crying and pleading before him for assistance and support. This is how his days and nights would go by.
Your grander calls to mind the loftiness of his station
The sweep of his vision, his rapture, his ardor, his pride, his humility
The Cordoba Mosque, oh! His toil or effort is thus a tangible result of his energy and enthusiasm. Because of this, it wasdevised for Momin, to sit inside and talk to God at night. Your building’s elevation and height are open to each other. Its evidence is available. Your vastness shows his noble motives. It demonstrates how expansive his thinking is. Then, you were expertly crafted by him. It demonstrates how purely he had tasted. Therefore, it was designed for this purpose that the believer continues to bow down to God through you. This necessity itself reveals a great beauty of grace. It is oozing with splendour. You own this.
The might of the man of faith is the might of the Almighty
Dominant, creative, resourceful, consummate
The hand of a believer is Allah Ta’ala’s hand. He always acts in Allah’s best interest. His every move is contaminated by personal gain. Therefore, Allah creates the splendour of His hand in his hand out of His mercy. His hand is like the hand of God, and he rules everything. He leads everyone in the correct direction. He would remove any obstacles in someone else’s path to success.Additionally, he fixes broken chains for other people. That is, with the believer’s blessing, people practice the proper religion, as evidenced by their actions.Negative forces cannot possibly manifest.
Every act of a person’s ordinance becomes a work of God when that person dedicates his or her life to carrying out God’s purpose and comes to full faith. Considering that it follows God’s direction and means nothing other than what He has commanded.
He is terrestrial with celestial aspects; a being with the qualities of the creator
His contented self has no demands on this world or the other
Although physically frail, a believer. However, it is unclear to everyone how anything that is immaculate and natural cannot be. He inherits the qualities of his master and Maula Ali because of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) love for him. His bay Niaz’s heart is not anchored to anything from the past or the world. Its only goal is to make the All-Powerful happy.
His desires are modest; his aims exalted;
His manners charming; his ways winsome
He has minimal prospects. He does not look to the people of the world for praise or payment for any of his labour. The sole goal is the accomplishment of God’s plan in this earth.
Although it seems like a modest objective, when you consider its true scope, it is enormous. It would serve all of those purposes.
There are those for whom the world’s great individuals have given them a slogan. For instance, the advancement and prosperity of God’s people, their peace, global fraternity, etc. Equality, transforming all people into true servants of God, and submitting everyone to His yoke. What is the bigger goal of the world?Could this be a believer’s expression? People develop feelings of love and admiration for him after viewing his complete life. He doesn’t even give them the slightest hint of responsibility. Everyone enjoys him.
Soft in social exposure, tough in the line of pursuit
But whether in fray or in social gathering, ever chaste at heart, ever clean in conduct
He has divine language. His pursuit of truth or God is very evident. It should be fixed so whether it’s a battleground or a meeting of friends, a person of pure character and purity may be found there. In other words, it is a divine appointment for the council or the battlefield. It does not go overboard. The first and final attribute of a pure heart and purity that human beings in all spheres of life and every walk don’t even veer a hair from God’s commands while you walk in accordance with them. He solely acts on behalf of God.
In the celestial order of the macrocosm, his immutable faith is the centre of the divine compass
All else: illusion, sorcery, fallacy
Only the believer is the source of truth in this world because of faith and belief. For this reason, divine decrees are made in this planet.People adopt this credo as a result of God’s pleasure. He is the genuine article in this world, therefore (i.e. the point of truth). There is something that is all authority, falsehood, and delusion. To put it another way, nothing in this world can be sustained without the faith and belief of a believer.
He is the journey’s end for reason, he is the raison d’être of love
An inspiration in the cosmic communion
Men tend to hold the view that knowledge is derived through intellect. Ishq-e-Haq is a possible name for this. He is to be credited for the magnificence and joy seen at the gathering of the universe.
Stanza 6
O Mecca of art lovers, you are the majesty of the true tenet
You have elevated Andalusia to the eminence of the Holy Harem
O Cordoba Mosque! Similar to how Muslims view the Kaaba, it merits respect in the eyes of experts in the arts to you. By looking, one is presented with a map of Islam’s glory. And because of you, Spain is like Mecca as well. It is revered by everyone.
Your equal in beauty, if any under the skies
Is the heart of the Muslim and no one else
If there is one place on earth where your beauty can be seen, it is in the hearts of Muslims rather than anywhere else under this sky.It can be established that no one else can construct such a stunning and opulent place of worship; only Muslims can.The first is that a believer’s heart is the source and the centre of beauty, and the second is that the mosque is the global hub of both beauty and grace. The Cordoba Mosque is unmatched in the world in terms of trustworthiness.
Abdul-Rehman I initiated this mosque’s construction, and Hisham finished it. Then Sultan Azam Abdul Rahman III extended it and added red dinar decorations, following his predecessor, Abdul Rahman II. And by spending money on decorating, made her the mosques’ queen. She was decorated in a manner that may be inferred from the fact that her minarets were also adorned with numerous gems and were constructed of pure ivory. On it, about 35,000 dinars were spent. That is, it will cost about 35 lakh dinars in the present day. About 1417 flawless marble pillars make up this mosque. The best examples of art are carvings. In it were lit 10,000 lanterns in the evening. The middle three large lamps were made of pure silver, and the others were made of brass. Oil was ablaze and making its surrounding ignite, highlighting its pureness to the world. About 1480 bowls were lit in each of them. Its cleanup required the efforts of 300 persons.
Ah those men of truth, those prod cavaliers of Arabia
Endowed with a sublime character, imbued with candour and conviction
Iqbal’s thoughts inevitably turn to the accomplishments of the country that produced this admiral after mentioning the mosque. He has told the tale of the magnificence of the Arabs in this stanza’s third verse, which was written after the mosque was constructed. Since Iqbal kept the colour brevity in mind because it was recognized that he couldn’t write the history of Spain in only four or six poems. In his poems, he used a pen which could have sprinkle such words out of it to allude to the 600 years of Muslim history in Andalusia. In comparison to reading the entire history, reading these six poems can have an impact on the heart.
With the word ‘Ah’, Iqbal opened this stanza.Tragic implies that the Muslim history of Andalusia is a terrible one, and the word itself hides the entirety of that history. The writings of Mardan-e-Haq would imply that Tariq and his allies were authentic Muslims as they were the ones who conquered Spain.Speaking truth to power had been his life’s mission. The Arabian horseman’s make up suggests that he was of Arab ancestry and excelled at horsemanship; in fact, it was his national trait. Additionally, this phrase indicates that they invaded Spain rather than entering under the guise of trading.
Their reign gave the world an unfamiliar concept
That the authority of brave and spirited lay in modesty and simplicity, rather than pomp andregality
That the cruel empire is a poverty, not a kingdom, was made strangely obvious to the world by those whose governments. The fact that they are destitute rather than arriving to construct enormous palaces and amass magnificent displays of glory and supremacy around them.
bringing the gift of the dervishes, who make do with the bare necessities and devote their lives to improving, protecting, and comforting God’s creation devoted to Islam’s message to the world was spread through this empire. This is the rule, and Rashida’s presentation of the Khilafah serves as its best illustration. The Arabs who came to Andalusia brought this pattern with them, and as a result, the Andalusian Christians themselves had rebelled against their kings and joined the Arabs Muslim.
Their sagacity guided the east and west
In the dark ages of Europe, it was the light of their vision that lit up the tracks
These individuals—the Arabs—brought the light of Islam to the East and the West, and owing to them, science and the arts expanded throughout Europe (where ignorance and the delusion of vanity had previously reigned supreme before their arrival). thus, European history- it is a fact that Arabs acted as a conduit for the dissemination of arts and sciences in this region. In Granada and Cordoba’s madrasas-Thomas Aquinas, John Scotus, Roger Bacon, and other thinkers were studied by students from England, France, Germany, and Italy. These philosophers share a love for Ibn Rushd (Averroes), a well-known Andalusian sage who also had followers in France and Italy. From these established centres, this illustrious sage’s ideology was routinely published.
A tribute to their blood it is, that the Andalusians, even today
Are effable and warm-hearted, ingenuous and bright of countenance
When compared to other European countries, the names of great people are those whose blood still flows in the veins of the Andalusians. The people of Andalusia are cheery, cordial, pleasant in their interactions, uncomplicated, and bright-faced, that is, attractive.
Even today in this land, eyes like those of gazelles are a common sight
And darts shooting out of those eyes, even today, are on target
Deer-like eyes may still be seen all across Andalus today, and Hussain’s glance still leaves scales in the heart. It is implied that the presence of Arab blood is the cause of these attractive characteristics.
Its breeze, even today, is laden with the fragrance of Yemen
Its music even today, carries strains of melodies from Hijaz
Even now, Andalusian still have a Yemeni odour in their breath and a Hijazi accent in their speech.A reference is also made to the well-known but false hadith from Boya Yemen, which discusses that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)Yemen sent a cool breeze towards him. Evidently, this indicates that when the Arabs first migrated to Andalusia, a sizable portion of them belonged to the Yemeni Arabs and their descendants may still be found there. The music of various European nations, as well as the music of Andalusia, is also included.Competition in Europe is comparable to Hijazi music.
Stanza 7
Stars look upon your precincts as a piece of heaven
But for centuries, alas, your porticoes have not resonated with the call of the muezzin
O Cordoba Mosque! Your world is exceedingly high in the view of the stars, having the rank of heaven. Ahh! The call to prayer was not heard in your environment for millennia. That is, nobody has rung the adhan from your mosque or courtyard.
What distant valley, what way-side abode is holding back
That valiant caravan of rampant love
Which valley and whereabouts of Ishq-e-Haq’s heartless caravan, which is causing trouble and stirring things up, are unknown. When are you due to arrive? And when will the cries of Allah Akbar once more reverberate throughout your atmosphere, just as they do in Islam? For seven and a half centuries, it persisted in being felt.
Germany witnessed the upheaval of religious reforms
That left no trace of the old perspective
Iqbal beautifully mentions the major revolutions in Europe in the following four poems based on their presumptions. If a revolution occurs in Spain soon after those in Germany, France, and Italy, it signifies that those three countries have already experienced revolution.According to Iqbal, numerous revolutions have occurred throughout Europe as a result of the fall of Granada. An illustration-Luther founded the Reformed Church of Rome during the 16th century in Germany which made a great in Europe. The result was a revolution. It allowed for the liberation of more than half of the Christian world from papal dominance.
Refers to Martin Luther, a German, and the Reformation, a movement for religious reform launched in opposition to the Pope.Christianity eventually split into two major groups as a result. While believing Luther, “Catholics” who support the Pope were nevertheless addressed as such. They eventually adopted the moniker “Protestant.”
Two of the peculiar beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church during the time were as follows:
Will Pardon, Therefore, there existed a regular department for the sale of pardons, and the Pope profited greatly from this business. These two ideas were combined in 1517 by a priest by the name of Martin Luther, a professor at the German university of Witten berg. After numerous discussions and protests, the largest church in the city finally opened its doors on October 31.However, the denial of these two Church and Pope principles was boldly written and pasted. It appeared to be an act of war against the Church.Since Luther objected to clerical custom, his Thought Protestants gained notoriety. Pope Leo Whim expelled Luther from the Church in 1560, but his cause swiftly gained traction. Almost half of Christendom was gradually emancipated from papal servitude.A theological, philosophical, or scientific book cannot be published in the Roman Catholic world unless the Church also publishes its own writings. The Pope creates a regular department of accountability books for this task.In various nations, revolutions began. Germany saw the emergence of a religious reform movement that completely eradicated the past.
Infallibility of the church sage began to ring false
Reason, once more, unfurled its sails
The notion of papal infallibility, which applied to the nations under the Pope’s dominion from Rome, was also undermined as a result of the Reformation, which was another significant outcome. He is not seen as innocent by the local Christians. It should be obvious that the Roman Catholic Church, the Church of Rome, holds the Pope to be sinless and infallible. It cannot exist. The Protestant Church’s clergy were able to reflect on the Bible and their freedom of interpretation since Luther disputed this notion.
The Pope’s innocence, upon which Christianity had based its entire religious structure, was destroyed like a forgery. In this time period, thinking was not permitted. Nobody could translate the Bible and express any religious views. Everyone bowed in front of the Pope and his choice. what was said back then. This was meant to be the way of salvation, but once the Lutheran movement overturned the Pope’s infallibility, people started to consider religion. They were made aware of the reality. The previous religious building was demolished after that. Beginning at that point, the age of intellectual freedom advanced and led Europe down the un-enlightenment path.
The fact that Iqbal likened the boat of thinking to being fragile is one of his many talents. She is, of course, so weak that even the smallest wave slap can cause her to fall.
France too went through its revolution
That changed the entire orientation of western life
Francis also observed the revolution’s map, which marked the end of not only the previous French empire but also of all of Europe.Following the abolition of the monarchy and the promotion of the new civilization, the previous imperial order was reversed, and democracies began to emerge in other nations. French Revolution: The French monarchy was overthrown in this uprising. As a result, democracy was founded after the king, queen, and powerful nobles were killed. When Napoleon came to power, the French emperor’s throne was reinstated, but only after the French Revolution.Axes started to fall on the emperor’s head in Europe.
In the 18th century AD, there was a major shift. This is known as the French Revolution, Carlyle’s thorough history. The book is written in English. The Western world was altered by this revolution because it helped the European nations become familiar with and perhaps even understand the concepts of freedom, fraternity, and equality.
The Western nations are not yet familiar with the significance of these phrases, as I noted in what I wrote. This is so because of these guidelines.A logical outcome of monotheism is the triple belief. Consequently, these phrases are meaningless unless a country adheres to true monotheism. How can one understand the meaning? Before a country adopts monotheism as a significant part of its culture.
If not, it is impossible to put these unadulterated ideas into effect until that time.
Iqbal has articulated Muslims’ historical aspirations in Ramuz Bikhudi, but it has been a while since Muslims’ lives were represented by these ideas. It is an essay titled “Muslims in Dargur and Islam in the Book.” Thus, freedom, equality, and equality are important in today’s world. The meaning of these three phrases exists in the minds of Muslims, yet their examples do not exist outside of Islam.
Similarly lengthy is the narrative of the French Revolution. It suffices to say that the French people, who had grown weary of their personal government’s sour fruits, “Tang Awad Bajang Awad” On May 5, 1789, a meeting of the nation’s representatives was held in Paris. At this meeting, it was decided that the monarchy should be abolished and that democracy should be instituted. So, following a three-year struggle, democracy was finally established in France in 1792, and Louis was crowned Emperor of France in January 1793. His queen Marie Antoinette was then executed in the electric chair in October 1793, which marked the end of the French monarchy and the beginning of France. They permanently unburdened from the royal taint.
Followers of Rome, feeling antiquated worshipping the ancientry
Also rejuvenated themselves with the relish of novelty
The people of Italy who grew old while adhering to the old traditions were transformed into youth with the pleasure of renewal under Mussolini’s leadership, i.e., a new spirit of life was born in them as well. This is what is meant by the phrase Millat Romani Nustrad, which is Latin for “the nation of Roman descent.” As soon as it occurred, they began to assert their superiority and magnificence. The phrase “pleasure of renewal” literally means “pleasure of renewing.” In this verse, Mussolini’s domination of Italy is referenced, as well as the greatness and superiority of Italy that was brought about by the Second World War. Like a typographical error, it erased.
The same storm is raging today in the soul of the Muslims
A divine secret it is, not for the lips to utter
What will happen if Muslims continue to struggle with the same uncertainty and yearning that they have always had? Language lacks the ability to fully explain this holy mystery.
Let us see what surfaces from the depths of the deep
Let us see what color, the blue -sky changes into
The sea is displaying stormy indicators. Let’s wait and see what happens. And will the colour of the blue sky alter when our head is casting a shadow over it?
Stanza 8
Clouds in the yonder valley are drenched in roseate twilight
The parting sun has left behind mounds and mounds of rubies, the best from Badakhshan
Iqbal paints a picture of the scene at the time this poem was composed in the final line. This imagery is quite appropriate and endearing. This last stanza’s opening verse is very interesting artistically. Throughout the poem, the response is no. A metaphorical metaphor in the second line has elevated this poem to paradise. In order to prove the heaps of Lal Badakhshan for Aftab, the poet first represented him as a trader.
The cloud is visible drenched in twilight in the valley of the mountain. It seems like Badakhshan leaves a mound of mud as the sun sets. This is the sunset view; the twilight that follows it lends a hint of colour to everything, and if there is a patch of cloud over the horizon, it totally turns red. This is what Iqbal saw. According to the headline, “Lal Badakhshan,” a lot has been said. It is claimed to have fled the sun because these mounds were made at sunset.
Simple and doleful is the song of the peasant’s daughter
Tender feelings adrift in the tide of the youth
The air also echoed with a local girl’s song at the same time. A country girl’s song resounded in the background at the same moment. It was incredibly easy. in order for village girls to study music. They don’t sing; instead, singing is how they pursue their passion. It was straightforward but rife with fire. It is true that the ship of the heart has a sail order for the age of youth, according to which it can be taken anywhere it pleases.
Iqbal has captured the essence of humanity in this verse. Youth, so the saying goes, is like a quick cell. There isn’t a place to pause or remain in it. It made all kinds of turns. Normal practice refrains from comparing profit and loss. This is the circumstance.
To someone who has witnessed a boat floating in a choppy sea, it might be evident. When a person’s youth is over, they act wisely, pause at each step, and look ahead as they move. One of this stanza’s qualities is that, for as long as the listener is exposed to the young girl’s song, a particular state is generated in their hearts.
It seems like the boat of life is drifting inside a prison. Where did she come from so quickly after being here just now?
O, the ever-flowing waters of Guadalquivir
Someone on your banks is seeing a vision of some other period of time.
In this universe, Iqbal addresses the river and declares that;
O river in the GreatValley! Someone next to you is daydreaming about a previous time period.
The famed Andalusian River Wadi al-Kabir, on both banks of which Cordoba is located, is known as the Huge Aab-e-Ravaan. The Cordoba Mosque is situated next to this river.

Tomorrow is still in the curtain of intention,
But its dawn is flashing before my mind’s eye.
Despite being hidden from the world’s view, I can already see the beginning of the age I’m referring about.
Were, I to lift the veil from the profile of my reflections,
The West would be dazzled by its brilliance.
Europe will not be able to handle my revolutionary remarks if I disclose the face of my imagination and tell what will happen.
Life without change is death.
The tumult and turmoil of revolution, Keep the soul of a nation alive.
The Muslim is then told by Iqbal that life is just another word for revolution. The absence of a desire for revolution in certain countries.
These countries can’t be regarded as living nations, though. Only the ability to spark a revolution determines a nation’s existence.
Keen, as a sword in the hands of Destiny
Is the nation that evaluates its actions at each step.
A country that constantly examines its actions is aware of where it stumbled and slipped. He is the owner of Compensations for Stumbles. Because of this, she consistently succeeds in life and places the work of a sword in the hands of nature, which means that God grants this country the authority over all other nations in the globe.
Incomplete are all creations without the lifeblood of the creator,
Soulless is the melody without the lifeblood of the maestro.
These impressions are lacking if liver blood isn’t a part of them. Poetry without heart and soul is just a rough bargain.
Because Iqbal explains his ideology in the final verse of this stanza, it serves as the essence of the entire poem (which can be interpreted as the spirit of his message). It is stated that two factors determine a country’s development:
The first requirement is that the country must have some sort of ideal.Life has no purpose whatsoever.
The second requirement is that this objective should be pursued with a love-like fervour. Because without love, all good intentions remain unfulfilled and no nation can prevail in war.
Muslims should not give up hope for the future, in conclusion. They ought to keep in mind that the revolution is the foundation of all existence.
To the same people, we keep bringing the days of rising and fall. One country is growing today, another will soon follow. Muslims should therefore get ready to launch a revolution—and there can be only one form—by fostering a passion for love. On this love-based spirit, the goal will be accomplished.
